Foreign nationals in Beijing who wish to get the second Covid-19 booster shot are kindly reminded to note the following.

1. Target groups for the second booster shot

Foreign nationals in Beijing who have received their first booster shot can receive a second booster if they are willing to be vaccinated and eligible for the shot, especially those who are at high risk of infection, aged 60 years and older, have serious underlying conditions, or have weakened immune systems.

2. Interval between the two booster shots

The second Covid-19 booster should be administered at least six months after the first booster shot.

3. Vaccine options

Both intramuscular injections and inhaled vaccines are currently available. Please consult the vaccination sites for details (information on vaccination sites is attached below).

4. Vaccination appointment

Covid-19 vaccines should be administered on a voluntary, informed, and self-risk bearing basis. Please make an appointment before going to the vaccination sites and make sure to bring with you valid identity documents (passport and valid residence permit). If you got your previous doses in other provinces or cities, please also bring your immunization certificates.

If you have symptoms of fever, dry cough, fatigue, anosmia, hypogeusia, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhea, please postpone vaccination. Those recently infected with Covid-19 are also recommended to postpone vaccination.

We welcome you to schedule your vaccination appointments.
