To meet local residents' need for Chinese learning, Seoul's Dobong District, a sister district of Changping, moved its Chinese lessons online to help South Korean citizens learn Chinese and understanding traditional Chinese culture.

The online Chinese learning program officially began on July 13. The 14-episode series feature lessons taught by Chen Yu, the 16th exchange civil servant from Changping District, and a Korean teacher and are filmed by civil servants from Dobong District. During the lessons, Chen Yu would not only teach daily conversations about greeting, dining and shopping, but also introduced to the learners the profile of Changping, Chinese diet and traditional culture. The first episode has been released on the Dobong District Council's YouTube channel, and more will be aired in the future. Residents in Dobong and other interested learners in South Korea can all subscribe for the program for free.

Changping and Dobong officially became sister districts in April 1996 and have had close interactions and continuous cooperation ever since. The two districts launched a civil servant exchange program in 2003, a practice that has lasted 16 years, playing an important role in deepening the friendship and mutual understanding, promoting project cooperation and disseminating both cultures. As a key part of the exchange program, the provision of Chinese lessons to Dobong residents has received extensive attention and enjoyed great popularity.

Moreover, Dobong has offered audio Chinese courses for its civil servants via the District Council's radio broadcast system. Chen Yu and civil servants from Dobong District have jointly produced five episodes for the morning radio program, teaching greetings, other frequently used phrases, and typical Chinese movies and songs. The program is aimed to improve the Chinese language skills of Dobong District's civil servants, enrich their daily life, and advance China-South Korea exchanges.
