On April 28, 2022, the "H.C Andersen Art Awards – Chinese Children's Art Exhibition" was unveiled at the Copenhagen City Hall, Denmark. Jens-Kristian Lütken, Mayor of the Employment and Integration Committee, Finn Andersen, Director of the Denmark H.C. Andersen Culture & Art Committee, and Zheng Wen, Director of the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen, were present at the exhibition's opening ceremony and delivered successive speeches. Over 70 people from all walks of life in Copenhagen were invited to the exhibition's opening ceremony.

The exhibition was co-organized by the Denmark H.C. Andersen Culture & Art Committee, the H.C. Andersen Society, and the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen. A collection of more than 300 Chinese children's paintings were on display in Copenhagen, showcasing the magnificent visions of Chinese youngsters regarding culture and art, as well as fairy tales and the realities of everyday life.
