The Colombia Chamber of Infrastructure held the 17th Colombia Infrastructure Congress from November 23 to 27, which was the most influential event in Colombian infrastructure construction industry. Iván Duque, President of the Republic of Colombia, attended the congress and delivered a keynote speech, and Colombian Vice President, Transportation Minister and Finance Minister gave speeches at the congress. Chinese Ambassador to Colombia Lan Hu and Colombian Ambassador to China Luis Diego Monsalve also addressed the congress.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (BDIA), the most essential airport project in the world completed and put into operation last year, drew extensive attention at the congress. Beijing Urban Construction Group, the contractor of the main terminal of BDIA, was invited to participate in the congress via video link. Representative of the company gave a comprehensive introduction to its experience as the EPC contractor of the project, covering the four stages of planning, design, construction, and operation.

This year's Colombia Infrastructure Congress was held online for the first time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It invited representatives from engineering firms, government officials, and presidents, professors, and students from architectural academies. Approximately 600 people attended the congress.
