Mayor Sennanayake said that the friendship between Sri Lanka and China has a long history, and true friendship can be proven in times of difficulties. At this critical moment of the second wave of the epidemic, the city of Colombo, with its nearly one million people, is grateful to Beijing and other cities for responding positively to its request and generously donating another batch of anti-epidemic materials, which is crucial for the city’s ongoing fight against the epidemic and for the promotion of vaccine rollout.
