On December 9, the fourth offline themed shooting event of the "Beijing·A Global City" Short Video Contest hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and organized by Guangming Online was held at the International Medical Service Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital. International students from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and North China Electric Power University, among others, participated in the event.

Seeing is believing. Good health care environment, sufficient foreign language signs, meticulous medical services, professional international remote consultation, smooth international insurance payment, and the aviation medical rescue service jointly created with International SOS and other institutions earned international students' praises: "It's amazing!" "The service is so convenient!" In the Internet medical center, participants inquired about the details on how to use the services. In the outpatient service center, participants experienced diagnosis and treatment in English and barrier-free communication throughout the process.

The fourth offline shooting event, themed on international medical services, showed the hospital's advanced equipment and gave international students first-hand experience. It is also designed to demonstrate the development of Beijing's international medical services, the all-round changes in the city's international service environment, and the core principle of putting people first.

Ali Haider from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture said that, "There are many international students in Beijing. We all need hospitals like Beijing Tiantan Hospital that offer medical services in English. I hope other hospitals can follow this example, provide English services and set up more English signs. It would benefit us a lot."

Cakir Aybala from North China Electric Power University said that, "The international medical care environment in Beijing is very good. Beijing Tiantan Hospital is both clean and safe. I think the most important thing for international hospitals is that doctors can clearly explain each step of the treatment, just like in today's event, the nurse gave a very detailed introduction to Tiantan Hospital."

Ren Tianhua from the International Medical Service Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital said that, "In terms of international medical services, Beijing Tiantan Hospital provides first-class services by introducing the mechanisms of having chief experts in charge and foreign experts providing guidance. At the same time, it also cooperates with International Neurosurgeon's Circle to carry out international telemedicine consultation. In the future, the International Medical Service Department will introduce foreign management teams to further enhance its ability to offer international services."

"Beijing · A Global City" Short Video Contest aims at presenting Beijing's internationality via short videos. It encourages the public to explore small things in their lives, and use short videos to present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of Beijing as a global city and capture its vigor, color, and atmosphere.

So far, four offline shooting events under the themes of "serving the country's overall diplomacy", "Winter Olympics preparations", "international service environment" and "international medical services" have been successfully held. A total of 210 entries were received and the number of views of relevant videos on Kuaishou has exceeded 10 million. The expert panel is reviewing the submitted videos. The award winners will be released on the WeChat official account of Beijing Foreign Affairs Office (WeChat ID: bjszfwb) and other platforms in the near future and the award ceremony will be held in due course.
