From October 6 to 10, 2020, the King Khalid Foundation in Saudi Arabia convened the Civil Society 20 (C20) Virtual Summit under the Saudi G20 Presidency. Four Beijing-based civil society organizations, namely Peaceland Foundation, New Sunshine Charity Foundation, Beijing Zhicheng Public Interest Lawyers, and Beijing Children's Legal Aid and Research Center, participated in the event. They exchanged views with their international counterparts in-depth on a range of topics such as pandemic prevention and control and protection of the rights and interests of migrant workers and young people.

Civil Society 20 (C20) Summit is one of the important side events of the G20 Leaders' Summit and provides a platform for civil society organizations around the world to voice their advice to governments and other sectors on G20 agenda. With the aim of leaving no voice unheeded, C20 Summit 2020 focused on such topics as response to the COVID-19 pandemic, economic and social equity, and sustainable development. The C20 Communiqué was adopted during the virtual summit.
