Since May 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine have continuously issued travel warnings based on local situations, advising Chinese citizens to avoid trips to the Gaza Strip and use caution when planning a trip to the West Bank. The last one was valid until September 30, 2020. According to the local situation, a new travel warning has been issued, valid until March 31, 2021. The details of the warning are as follows:

In light of the tense situation in the Gaza Strip and the security risks in the West Bank, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine (the Office) advise Chinese citizens in the two areas to maintain a high level of vigilance and increase emergency preparedness. In case of emergency, please call the police and contact the Office.

In light of high security risks and increasing difficulty for the Office to provide effective assistance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office advise Chinese citizens to avoid traveling to the Gaza Strip and use caution when planning a trip to the West Bank. If you choose to travel to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank despite the warning, please be aware you need to bear the expenses incurred in the course of consular protection and assistance.
