Pre-lecture Preparation Increased Efficiency. Before the event, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing studied the school’s situation and designed the lecture with regard to teachers’ and students’ needs. The office also set up a specific area for promoting consular protection where officials used exhibition board to highlight relevant knowledge and distributed relevant materials including foldout posters What You Should Know Before Studying Abroad and pocketbooks Safety Tips for Going Abroad and played the video Consular Protection Explained in Three Minutes. These preparations allowed teachers and students to learn more about consular protection and made the lecture more effective and efficient.
