Recently, the Foreign Affairs Office and the Office of Culture and Tourism of Shijingshan District conducted an inspection of foreign language signage at Wanda Realm. The inspection is in line with the requirement of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office to implement the Regulations of Beijing Municipality on the Management of Foreign Language Signs in Public Places (the Regulations), aiming to standardize foreign language signs and improve foreign language signage in key foreign-related public places or places relating to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 (Beijing 2022 Games).

This is a follow-up inspection of Wanda Realm, a landmark of Shijingshan District and a key public place where foreign language signage is required according to the Regulations. The Foreign Affairs Office of Shijingshan District had inspected the English signs in the hotel's public space according to Beijing's Guidelines for the Use of English for Public Signs and required correction of 12 signs.

The Foreign Affairs Office of Shijingshan District will continue to follow the Municipal Foreign Affair Office's plans for improving the international language environment in Beijing, and work together with competent authorities of different sectors and sub-districts to inspect and correct foreign language signs in key public places in Shijingshan related to foreign nationals and the Beijing 2022 Games. In addition, examination is required before new foreign language signs are put up in these places to further improve the international language environment, contributing to the success of the Beijing 2022 Games.
