With the theme of "Share Opportunities in Openness and Cooperation", the Beijing "two zones" promotion event (France edition) was held in Beijing on October 14 by the Beijing "Two Zones" Leading Group Office and the Changping District Government. At the event, leaders of the "Two Zones" Leading Group Office introduced the policies of openness of the "two zones", while officials from Changping and representatives from tech firms of the district presented Changping's advantages in building the "two zones", its major sci-tech parks, innovation industries and low-carbon technologies. French guests delivered speeches and overseas business representatives made introductions about their companies.

By tapping into the innovative layout of "two valleys and one park", Changping has fostered a sound industrial ecosystem. Revenues of large pharmaceutical and health enterprises and energy companies reached 48.9 billion yuan and 148.02 billion yuan respectively in the first eight months of this year. With policies like Interim Measures to Support the Development of Pharmaceutical and Health Industry, Measures to Support Companies to Go Public, and Incentives for Intermediary Agencies in Attracting Investment to Changping District, a full-fledged policy system was created, allowing Changping to claim the top spot in Beijing with 22 high-tech companies getting approval right after registration. Meanwhile, Changping has also adopted policies to provide convenience for global talents and create a first-class business environment and favorable conditions for overseas enterprises to come to Changping, know the district and make investments. To date, there are 25,000 newly founded market entities in Changping, second most in the city. The Changping precinct under China (Beijing) Free Trade Pilot Zone has more than 10,000 market entities, up 60.1% from before its establishment.

As Changping has a long history of communicating with French cities, the number of French businesses ranks in the top three among European enterprises investing in Changping. Participants agreed to take the event as an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and make Changping more accessible, understandable and investment-friendly to French enterprises, thus contributing to the development of both China-France friendship and the companies in the two countries.

Zhou Hongyou, deputy director of Beijing "Two Zones" Leading Group Office, and Guo Qingyao, deputy mayor of Changping District, attended the event.
