On
November 5, 2020, the website of the Integrated National
Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China
(Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "Two
Zones") was launched for trial run at the China International
Import Expo.
Themed
on the opening-up of Beijing, the website demonstrates the progress
in building the "Two Zones", relevant policies and the
achievements in opening-up as a new window on Beijing's strengths
and characteristics as an open city. Bearing in mind users' need,
the website designer also launched an English website simultaneously
at the international version of the official website of the Beijing
Municipal Government. It helps foreign investors understand the
advantages of investment in Beijing.
The
website contains sections such as profile of the "Two Zones",
opening-up progress and policies, and introduction of areas that have
been in operation. It mainly gives an introduction of the "Two
Zones" and provides latest news on Beijing"s opening-up; releases
opening-up policies of advantageous sectors and areas, with
priorities on new businesses, models and systems emerging in the
process of opening-up and innovation and practices that can be
duplicated and promoted elsewhere; shows the advantages of areas
dedicated to sci-tech innovation, high-end business services and
high-end industries, etc. and the road map for Beijing"s
opening-up; publishes statistics of Beijing about its achievement in
attracting foreign investment, outbound investment and foreign trade,
which reflects the city's investment and trade performance;
provides access to entry/exit services to foreigners and information
services to foreign-invested enterprises and foreigners. Overall, the
website showcases the achievements that Beijing made in opening-up
and development.
The
website will be further improved to present the new image of an open
Beijing in all aspects.
Municipal officials attending the launch ceremony include Vice Mayor Yang Jinbai, Deputy Secretary-General Li Zhijie, Tianjin Commissioner of the Ministry of Commerce Wu Haiyu, Director-General of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau Yan Ligang and Director of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau Zhou Xu. The ceremony was witnessed by representatives of enterprises and officials from relevant departments and districts.
