Spring is a season of blossoming, and autumn is a time of harvest. Over the past decade since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was proposed, new visions for global development and governance have been translated into practice in countries along the Belt and Road. During the 3rd BRF, mainstream media outlets from various countries reported extensively on the achievements made in the past ten years and pointed out that this year’s forum further elevated the significance of the BRI, promoting even closer international cooperation.

The news channel of All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company paid special attention to the eight major steps that China will take to support the joint pursuit of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, as well as fruitful results achieved during this year’s BRF.

The news channel reported President Xi Jinping’s announcement of cooperation agreements worth USD 97.2 billion signed at the CEO Conference held during the BRF, as well as China's plan to reach free trade arrangements and investment protection agreements with more countries.

Chinese initiative is better received than the Western approach

Levente Horvath, Editor-in-Chief of Hungary’s Eurasia magazine, wrote that the BRI, which was put forward by President Xi Jinping in 2013, has yielded fruitful results over the past decade. In the international political arena, China's initiative has been better received than the Western approach. An increasing number of countries have joined the BRI, and many prefer not to take sides but rather to participate in Belt and Road cooperation. The BRI represents China’s approach to the establishment of a new multipolar world order.

Indonesian media:

Indonesia hopes to align more development plans with the BRI

Journalists from various countries:

Joint development is crucial

Schmidt, a journalist from Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen: The BRI has brought many countries together in a peaceful way for joint development, which is of paramount importance in the current era. For European and Western countries, the BRI has huge potential for promoting green development, reducing emissions and addressing climate change in the future.

Lisandara, a journalist from Cuban Girón: Journalists from all over the world have gained a better understanding of the BRI. I believe that, through this forum, Latin American countries have realized the importance of the BRI and the necessity of strengthening cooperation among countries.

Abubakar, a Tanzanian journalist from Television Zanzibar: Countries should both promote the development of their nations and improve the well-being of their people. The only purpose of all the discussions and project signings at the forum is to pursue development.

Brem-Nagy, a journalist from Magyar Hírlap: I think this forum is a grand gathering. As this year marks the 3rd session of the BRF and the 10th anniversary of the BRI, it is a good opportunity to bring together the Belt and Road partners to review their past achievements and make plans for future development.
