Thanks to the efforts of the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office, a seminar was recently convened between the delegation of US companies in Beijing and relevant departments of the municipal government to exchange views on the "two zones" and the companies' latest developments in Beijing.
Craig Allen, president of the US-China Business Council, hailed the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics as a great success and had every confidence in the prospect of the city. He was also grateful to the government for supporting US companies like United Family Healthcare, P&G and FedEx in terms of incentives for talents, project dovetailing and government-business communication, which enhanced their "sense of gain" throughout the city's further opening-up.
Moreover, participants from government departments interacted with the delegation on the progress of the "two zones" development and policies in fields like finance, foreign culture trade and biomedicine, encouraged them to scale up their R&D, investment and operation in Beijing, and answered their questions.
Going forward, Beijing Foreign Affairs Office will draw up a laundry list of the problems faced by the companies and feedback to the departments concerned. It will continue to harness the strength in channeling resources in foreign affairs to pool high-end international resources and contribute to the capital's development in the new era.
Yang Jinbai, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and vice mayor of Beijing, attended and addressed the seminar.
