On the morning of April 4th, Isko Moreno, Mayor of Manila, the Philippines, received the first shot of the Chinese Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine at the vaccination center of Osmena High School in Manila.

Previously, the Philippine government stipulated that medical staff should be given priority for COVID-19 vaccination, while government officials were not allowed to get inoculated for the time being. Now, Philippine President Duterte has agreed that mayors in high-risk areas can be vaccinated.
