Cai Qi expressed his gratitude to the Comcast Corporation for its support to the epidemic prevention work in Beijing and the construction of Universal Beijing Resort, and introduced Beijing's coordinated measures regarding epidemic control and resumption of work and production. He pointed out that in accordance with the guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, the city is working on an ongoing basis to contain the virus. It has quickened its pace in resumption of work and production and taken active measures to boost market confidence. During the past May Day holiday, life and work were returning to normal, the consumer market picked up, and the situation continued to improve. Universal Beijing Resort is a major project at the city's sub-center, as well as a signature project that marks China-US economic and trade cooperation. We will overcome the negative impact of the epidemic, accelerate the construction of supporting facilities such as transportation, electricity, energy, and pipelines, strengthen the interaction with project management teams, facilitate international logistics, and ensure that the project is completed on schedule. As epidemic prevention and control has become a new norm, we should look into online tours, indoor ventilation system, emergency plan and other matters in advance to ensure the normal operation of the park. It is hoped that both parties could work together to build a world-class theme park and create a new landmark tourist attraction in Beijing.

Roberts and Williams highly appreciated the city's achievements made in epidemic prevention and control as well as in resumption of work and production. They also thanked Beijing for its strong support to the construction and operation of the Universal Beijing Resort project. Confident in the timely completion of the project and the opening and operation of the park, they promised to step up investment and actively participate in the preparations for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the development of the city's sub-center.

Other municipal leaders attending the meeting included Cui Shuqiang and Sui Zhenjiang.
