In an effort to promote legal awareness and advance law-based governance in the city, the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office organized an online observation of the trial proceedings of a foreign-related commercial case at the Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court (BFIPC) on December 14. More than 70 officials from government bodies and public institutions participated in groups or individually.

The event featured a typical foreign-related commercial dispute, involving various issues such as foreign-related service, qualification examination of foreign litigants, handwriting identification, and clarification and application of laws in the British Virgin Islands and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. These issues triggered profound reflections on the connotation of the rule of law and the requirements of foreign-related legal practices. Attendees expressed that the event deepened their understanding of the significance of advancing the rule of law for foreign-related cases, broadened their global perspectives, and highlighted the necessity for them to enhance their comprehensive abilities.
